I've been meaning to come to Marleys for a while, it's been on the list for ages so the anticipation and expectation were high. Finally made it in late Feb25, I was being healthy but my bro was with me to balance it out. Went for pork belly and calamari starters. Man do we love pork belly, it's one of my faves, always a must try if it's on the menu - they didn't disappoint, perfectly cooked, juicy and crunchy, so so good. The Calamari is on every menu these days and shouldn't be hard to nail, but it was chewy/overcooked, coating was tempura light and it didn't keep together - a shame. The mains saved the day and were all round winners, we love them them burgers, bro was very impressed with it. And I was very happy with the duck, cauliflower puree, kale were cooked perfectly and delicious. It was finished with excellent accoutrements (shallots, berries, pomegranate), with tangy shots of flavour complimenting and lifting the other flavours. A nice vibe, and service was nothing short of excellent - nailed the attentive and friendly balance. Expensive, a bit, delicious a lot. Look forward to returning.
Had no reservations and they got us in really quick! Super friendly and really really good food!! Chicken was crazy good, Marley burger the wife loved. The pork bites tasted great! Thanks. Had 0 space for desert but I saw some and it looked great.
The best place to eat in Folkestone hands down! We are local and whenever deciding where to eat we always come back to Marleys, the staff are so friendly and welcoming. An amazing evening as always
Friendly welcoming staff. Comfy chairs and a perfect place for a chat with friends. Amazing selection of cakes and at least 3 gluten free cakes. A lovely relaxed atmosphere with smiley service.
My wife & me went to Marleys last night after a lovely sunny day in Folkestone & we are SO glad we did. The staff on arrival were so welcoming & very personable, the atmosphere is very calm & we loved the feel. Our table was cosy & nicely spaced apart for a romantic meal. It's great they support local businesses & the Biddenden's red wine was very quaffable! We both had the Marley's burger & it was the best we have ever had. The toilets were like a spa & overall we were delighted that we ate here. Its a must to go to & we will be back. Thank you to everyone at Marleys for making us special memories of a wonderful meal. X
Marleys never disappoints , it was worth the wait of booking our dinner in advance as we know it is a popular restaurant as expected! The service was efficient & friendly , both the starter & main was full of flavour and very reasonable price for the quality & portion size.The desserts sounded & looked delicious, interesting choice of cocktails which were just as described! We would definitely recommended Marleys for breakfast, lunch & dinner!
Highly recommend. The service was absolutely excellent and the food was delicious. Right from walking through the door (without a reservation), we were made to feel like valued customers and the whole experience was faultless.
Marley's is amazing. I have been here a couple of times with friends and family and I have never been disappointed. Both times I have been here have been for breakfast. The first time I had their version of a fry up and the second time I had pancakes. The fry up was amazing. Really nice sausages and eggs and it was all locally sourced. The pancakes were peanut butter and strawberry. The peanut butter was made at Marleys and I did ask if I could buy some. The price is fair as well and very good value as they make some of the food and buy locally. If you are coming for the pancakes it's worth knowing that they change the topping week to week so look at their Instagram.
